Textbook Rental Program

Need help getting textbooks this year? The Student Bar Association may be able to help!

The Student Bar Association at Capital University Law School is proud to support students who have trouble obtaining law school textbooks, which can be extremely expensive. Students who have financial hardship and may not be able to purchase textbooks with their current financial aid or income are encouraged to submit a request for textbooks following the process below:

1) A student may submit a request through the SBA website by submitting a Book Rental Request form.

2) Once received, the Student Bar Association will review the request and set aside any books available for that student to rent.

3) The Student Bar Association will reach out to that student via their CapLaw email address, notify that student of the books set aside and anticipated rental pricing for each book. Note:  SBA's inventory is donation-based, so SBA's availability of textbooks is extremely limited. As SBA responds to request on a first-come-first-serve basis, there is no guarantee that SBA will have the textbook a student requests by the time the organization is able to review the request.

4) The student will have 48 hours to confirm, amend, or reject the offer by the Student Bar Association for the books. Failure to respond or confirm will be considered an automatic rejection by the student.

5) The Student Bar Association will send the student information for payment of the rentals and arrange for the student to pick up the books from the SBA Office.
